1973 BMW 2002tii
This 1973 BMW 2002tii is a rust free California car that has been cosmetically restored and mechanically updated. Correct paint, all new trim, re-chromed bumpers, rubber seals, rebuilt seats with new pads and seat-covers, dash, carpet, headliner, and grilles were all added using many quality parts from BMW Mobile Tradition. There are 140k total miles on the chassis and less than 3000 miles on the restoration work. It is available in Dayton, Ohio for $25,000. Contact us at mail@bringatrailer.com if you are interested.

This is an iconic color scheme that reminds us of the car that the factory built from all NOS parts a few years back. This one is an authentic tii with some rare parts like the BMW sport steering wheel and shift knob. The ugly DOT reflectors were eliminated during paint, and the car now wears Panasports but restored tii steelies are included. The only flaw according to the seller is that it could use second gear syncros in the transmission.
Mechanical work includes a rebuilt fuel injection pump, new wheels, tires, shocks and springs. The engine is strong, and the car rides well with excellent brakes and very tight steering and suspension.
The sale includes the following spares:
- Dealer installed Behr Air Conditioning Unit with new Center Console Panel (not currently installed)
- Correct Tii steel wheels (also restored) with nice hubcaps and new tires
- A large box of miscellaneous spares and new parts
We’d detail the engine compartment and add flush all-orange front signal lenses, but otherwise leave this car completely alone. Quality restored tii’s are only going to increase in value in the next 10 years. Check out this link for all the full-size photos.

It blows me away how expensive 2002s have gotten. I can only hope my 1988 535 will be worth half this much in 10 years
